POOR SPECIMEN

These are some of the projects I have worked on with Taylor Steele and Poor Specimen Productions. Taylor and his crew are the best people ever to work with. I have worked on over 10 film and television projects with him and every one has been unique in its own way. Each one a different vision from Taylor, I created creative visual treatments in branding, ad campaign, marketing collateral, video edit, animation, special effects, packaging, dvd menus, movie props,and motion graphics.

This boxset is a commemorative collection of filmmaker Taylor Steeles first ten years. A one time limited run of 5000 sets showcased vintage photography and on each spine a unique label, screenprinted, numbered and hand signed by Taylor.

Campaign is a surf film starring many of the worlds best surfers including Kelly Slater, Rob Machado, Andy and Bruce Irons, Taylor Knox, Benji Weatherly, Shane Dorian, Donavon and more. With comedic spoof commercials that show the pros endorsing mindless products for corporate America, it was a comedy approach to a surf film. The premiere tours were amazing. I will never forget that soundtrack, I must have heard it 500 times.


Transmission was an Australian release I worked on with Poor Specimen, Billabong and Electric. This organic approach to design consisted of a layout done by hand, scrapbook style from all the bits collected from the boat trip through the Mentawi Islands from the movie trip. The creative below were the magazine spreads that translated into packaging, posters, menus, and tour media.

Of the many Drive Thru movies and FUEL TV shows I was a part of, these two creatives below were my favorite for Drive Thru Europe and Drive Thru South Africa. Go to the Drive Thru tab on top to see more artworks I did for this series.

Poor Specimen presents THE UNTITLED – This is the fist film i ever worked on with Taylor and to this day one of my favorites. The soundtrack, the editing and the raw, punk artwork I thought all fit really well together. Watch it if you have not yet seen it.

These are the identities, websites and business card designs for Poor Specimen and Steelehouse Distribution USA and Australia. The Steelehouse sites are E-Commerce based (working with programmers) and the Poor Specimen is a Flash site layout, (again, with programmers).
